Hernandez completes Air Force training

U.S. Air Force Airman Shalimar E. Hernandez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

She is the daughter of Elias Hernandez of Bryans Road and Theresa Manes of Hope Mills, N.C.

Hernandez graduated in 2005 from Massey Hill Classical High School, Fayetteville, N.C.,

She received a bachelor's degree in 2009 from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Beck graduates Navy basic training

U.S. Navy Seaman Recruit Leona Beck, daughter of Gwendolyn L. Beck of Waldorf, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Beck is a 2009 graduate of Maurice J. McDonough High School.

Ford completes U.S. Navy basic

U.S. Navy Seaman Recruit Tiffany S. Ford, daughter of Tonya D. and Charles R. Ford of Waldorf recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Ford is a 2009 graduate of La Plata High School.

Chase graduates from basic training

U.S. Navy Seaman Recruit Johneise A. Chase, daughter of Lisa R. and Robert A. Johnson of Waldorf, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Chase is a 2009 graduate of Henry E. Lackey High School.
