Moreland becomes Eagle Scout

At a ceremony held at Kings Landing Park on Feb. 27, Matthew Moreland, a member of Boy Scout Troop 903 in Huntingtown, received the rank of Eagle Scout from his Scoutmaster Robert Simmons. As his Eagle Scout project, Moreland and volunteers built and installed osprey nesting boxes and informational signs at Kings Landing Park. Moreland, a senior at Huntingtown High School, plans on studying aerospace engineering at the University of Maryland.
