Her dad, Joseph S. Chopp, died five years ago, and her mom, Elizabeth ‘‘Betty” Chopp died two months ago.
She was a gracious hostess, welcoming everyone into her home. She was a giving and happy person who became involved with county baseball, hospice bereavement and DCF in Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shana, who died at the age of 4; and a nephew Daniel, who died a month before at the age of 3 in 1978.
She is survived by her ex-husband Wayne ‘‘Smokey” Davis, with she was involved extensively with legion baseball in the county; children, Joey and his wife Noreen, Mitch and Rain Davis; and two sisters, Doreen Chopp Moore and her husband John, and Dana Chopp Cannon and her husband Michael.
Funeral services were Jan. 11 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
The officiating minister was the Rev. Lynn Glassbrook.
She was buried near her mother and between her daughter and nephew.
