William Nelson Garner, 86, of Hollywood died Jan. 31, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born Feb. 7, 1923, in Great Mills, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Blanche Mason Garner.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and he worked for James Dobry Construction Co. and Dean Lumber Co. as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Garner of Hollywood; and a niece, Gladys Duckett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, William Nelson Garner Jr. and Joseph Bernard Garner; and one sister, Mary Jeannette Thomas.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 4, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown, with the Rev. John Dakes officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Face Catholic Cemetery in Great Mills.
