Potomac River Crab Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Potomac River Fisheries Commission, 222 Taylor St., Colonial Beach, Va. The committee will review the 2008 crab harvest, and discuss crab pot depth restrictions, the permit allowing two crab pot licenses on one boat and the effects of the winter crab dredge survey on the 34 percent harvest reductions that took place last year and the 2009 crab season, and the idea of closing the crab fishery on Sundays. Potomac River Finfish Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Potomac River Fisheries Commission, 222 Taylor St., Colonial Beach, Va. Items on the agenda will include developing recommendations for the 2009 seasons and size and creel limits for the recreational and commercial fisheries. Charles County Republican Central Committee will hold its Lincoln Day dinner Feb. 12 featuring former Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. The dinner will be held at Middleton Hall, Renner Road, Waldorf.
