Chesapeake Beach
Attempted burglary reported
On Jan. 27 at 8:04 p.m., Trooper Williams responded to the 8100 block of Bayview Hills Drive for a reported malicious destruction of property. Someone damaged a window and door attempting to enter the residence.
Dunkirk
Guns stolen from vehicle
On Jan. 29 at 8:30 p.m., Tfc. Dawson responded to the 1900 block of Owensville Court for a reported theft. Someone removed two 12-gauge shotguns from the victim's vehicle.
License plate stolen
On Jan. 27 at 3:55 p.m., Sgt. Wobbleton received a call for theft in the 12000 block of Steven Lane. Someone removed the front registration plate while the vehicle was parked in the driveway.
Lusby
Police arrest suspect in burglary
On Jan. 27 at 8:14 p.m., Trooper Logsdon responded to the 10000 block of McQueen Road for a reported burglary. Three TVs and various gaming systems and related items were stolen from the residence. Detectives identified Jeffrey T. Phelps, 20, of Lusby as the suspect and served him with an arrest warrant and a search warrant for his home and vehicle. Phelps was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
