A series of bomb threats targeting the Walmart store in California continued this week, and is under investigation by St. Mary's detectives who turned to the public for help in identifying the culprits.

A bomb threat called in Monday morning to the business on Miramar Way was the third bomb threat received by the store within a week, and St. Mary's sheriff's deputies and Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack responded to help evacuate people from the business.

Calvert County and St. Mary's bomb-detection dogs once again searched the store, the detectives report, and after no suspicious items were found, the store was reopened.

Anyone with information regarding the incidents is asked to contact St. Mary's Crime Solvers at 301-475-3333. Callers can remain anonymous, and receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Detectives can be reached at 301-475-4200, ext. 9058.
