Waldorf man gets 10 years in drug case

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

A federal judge on Monday sentenced a Waldorf man to 10 years in prison for dealing crack cocaine from his apartment, according to a press release from a U.S. attorney.

Jhonte Norris Brawner Jr., 27, admitted that he conspired with others to distribute the cocaine between Aug. 17, 2007, and Aug. 30, 2007, according to the release.

He reportedly sold more than 100 grams of cocaine to an undercover source working with law enforcement and said he was responsible for distributing between 50 and 150 grams of the drug, the release stated.

Brawner pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

After Brawner is released from prison, he will be on five years of supervised release, according to the sentence issued by U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus.
