There are many events happening in the world around us that are devastating. At times it is hard to find the good news. Last week there was some very good new that needs to be shared.

Ten months ago a 2-year-old girl named Tegan learned that she had a kind of cancer doctors thought was incurable. Many people have rallied around her and her family during this tragic time. She has endured many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, surgeries and the hardship of not being able to play and have fun as active 2-year-olds do. Last week she and her family found out the "Miracle for Tegan" that many have been pleading for has happened. She has had a clean scan and is cancer-free. The doctors will not fully free her until the scans continue to be clean for five years.

This news is worth sharing because many friends and neighbors in Charles County shared time, talents, money and support for this fine family. The "Miracle for Tegan" fundraiser yard sale held at the Blue Crabs stadium was a huge success. It was held in August. Thank you many times over for such a great outpouring of support and love for this one miracle. Miracles do happen.
