Members of Tau Lambda Lambda chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in Southern Maryland provided service at the Robert J. Fuller Transitional House in Waldorf.

"This is excellent," said Antonio Hill with a smile as he breaded pieces of fish before placing them near the deep fryer. "As a police officer, we serve the community by enforcing the law a lot, so it's good to give back when I'm not in uniform."

Hill is a police detective in Prince George's County and a member of Tau Lambda Lambda chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in Southern Maryland. The fraternity provides service to the community and visited the Robert J. Fuller Transitional House in Waldorf Nov. 21, to donate nonperishable food for the third time and also provide a fish fry dinner, according to a chapter press release.

Bishop Paul Wells has been the director of the Fuller House since it opened in January 2006.

The home's purpose is to reach and minister to men whom are facing challenges in life such being homeless and having mental issues. Many of the residents have been incarcerated and are re-establishing their foundations in the community.

James Sewell has been a resident of Fuller House for about three years and was looking forward to the fish fry.

"I like fish a lot," he said in the release. "I go to New Beginnings Church here in Waldorf and we take fishing trips all the time."

Sewell said he is grateful that the Fuller House has helped him get a job in landscaping, and he enjoys the responsibility of his daily chores.

Nathaniel Hall of Lexington Park joined TLL Chapter at the beginning of November.

"Any of us could easily be in these situations," he said in the release. Hall participated by collecting donations of food and money from community members and by donating his time.

TLL and the Fuller House look forward to partnering again in the near future and invite the community to participate with donations of time, food and money.
