Dunkirk

Malicious destruction of property reported

On March 6 at 4:45 p.m., Trooper Esnes responded to the 1700 block of Brickhouse Road for a report of malicious destruction of property. Someone scratched the right rear side of a vehicle causing two key marks approximately 12 inches in length.

Owings

Man arrested for possession of marijuana

On March 4 at 5:40 p.m., Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at Georgianna Lane. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed marijuana. Kevin D. China Jr., 21, of St. Leonard was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Items stolen from vehicle

On March 6 at 11:08 a.m., Tfc. Donaldson responded to the 8100 block of Arbor Way for a reported theft from a vehicle. Someone punched out the driver's side window to gain access and removed multiple items, including a GPS, radar detector, speaker and subwoofer, hand tools and clothing.

Prince Frederick

Teenager charged with possession of marijuana

On March 1 at 11:59 p.m., Trooper Wyer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 in the area of Stoakley Road. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed marijuana. Lyle S. Stepney, 18, of Chesapeake Beach was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Person jumps on car roof during fight

On March 6 at 11:47 p.m., Tfc. Saucerman responded to the Prince Frederick WaWa in response to a fight in progress. During the course of the argument, one of the suspects allegedly jumped onto the roof of the victim's vehicle, leaving a large dent in the roof. An Application for Statement of Charges has been submitted for Robert Bowles, 19, of Chaptico. The investigation is continuing.

St. Leonard

Man arrested for possession of marijuana

On March 7 at 11:58 p.m., Trooper West stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Avenue B and Chesapeake Avenue. The driver, Ralph W. McKnett, 46, of St. Leonard was arrested for DUI. A search allegedly revealed that he had marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
