Sister Margaret Mary Cass, 46, of Livingston Manor, N.Y., died March 19, 2010, at home.
Sister Margaret Mary had been a member of the Carmelite Community in Arlington, Texas, since 1988. She was a graduate of St. Michael School, Newark High School and the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio, where she received a bachelor of science degree.
Born March 28, 1963, she was the daughter of Jean Spence Cass and Thomas K. Cass.
She was preceded in death by her brother Master Sgt. John C. Cass II in 2006.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Matthew P. and his wife, Stephanie Cass of Broadway, N.C.; sisters, Elizabeth Cass of Cary, N.C., Patricia and her husband, Roger Scholten of Weybridge, Vt., and Ann Marie and her husband, Roberto Santell of Broadway; foster brother, Craig N. Bullock and his fiancee, Vickijo Campanaro of Rochester, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Deidre Cass of Horsham, Pa.; and 21 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. March 24 at Mount Carmel Monastery, La Plata, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 25. The Rev. Ron Potts and the Rev. Jerome Early will officiate. Burial will take place at the monastery cemetery.
