The Southern Maryland Business Network presented a check recently to Jane Staller of the Humane Society of Charles County.ÊThe society was the charitable organization that SMBN supported in 2007. The final checkÊbrought the totalÊpresentedÊto the humane society toÊmore than $13,255.ÊFrom left are Edie Kans, SMBN fundraising chairwoman for 2007, Staller and Bill Hocker, SMBN President. The business group is an independent, nonprofit, self-directed organization.ÊMeetings are held weekly on Tuesday mornings from 8-9:30 a.m. at Southwinds Adult Active Community just off Billingsley Road on Southwinds Place.
