Art classes for adults
Open Grid Wet-Felted Scarf
Tuesday and Wednesday, April 14-15

Member/ Non-member - $60/65
Materials fee: $15 due to instructor at class
Instructor: Robyn Strayer
Make an open grid designed scarf using carefully placed wool roving. Learn to sculpt the fibers into an airy, textural scarf by massaging the wool with soapy water. Each student comes away with a uniquely, sculptural scarf.
Girls Night Out: Wine and Dish

Enjoy the company of friends, fun snacks, and drinks as you learn to construct a large pitcher or tray as part of a serving set. Using clay slabs, embellishments, and glazes, make one-of-a-kind creations.
Make IT Mosaic: Birdbaths

Learn the basics of tile mosaic as you use ceramic tiles, glass bits and more to create a mosaic birdbath to display in a yard. Learn creative techniques to give the project a little personality along the way. Fun for parent/child couples to build a birdbath together; children must be 8 or older.
Ceramics: Raku Workshop

Instructor: Ray Bogle
Learn how to use clay slabs to build boxes and other items. Learn the Raku firing process and participate in the firing of pieces. An interesting and dramatic process to learn. No experience necessary.
Bead MANIA: Beaded Tassel Necklace

Explore traditional beading techniques and learn some new tricks while creating this lavishly beaded tassel. This class is surprisingly easy with spectacular results.

Picture This! Art+ Story

Designed for preschoolers, these hour-long story times teach basic art elements, styles and even a little art history with children's books, imaginative games and inventive art projects. Students come away with a matted artwork and a greater appreciation for all things artistic.
Art Class for Homeschoolers (ages 7-14)

Instructor: Joanne Paskoff
Students will learn art history and appreciation as they study the elements and styles of art. They will be introduced to various artists through a variety of media in a fun and creative environment. Each student will complete hands-on projects in class and receive take-home lessons to continue the learning process outside of class.
Trees are Terrific! Art + Play in the Garden (ages 7-11)
Saturday, April 18

Instructor: Joanne Paskoff
Join others for an afternoon of bonding with trees, as participants approach them with an artistic eye. After a walk in the garden, participants will adopt a tree and sketch it through the seasons. Participants will discuss the various types of trees, sprout a tree, learn about things people can eat from trees and more. The class will end by sculpting the tree in wire.
Play in Clay: Fairy Houses
(ages 6-12)
Saturday, April 25
1-4 p.m.
Member/Non-member - $35/40
Materials fee: $12 due to instructor on day of class
Instructor: Sarah Houde
Learn basic hand-building techniques as participants make a simple pot and transform it into a fairy or gnome house that can be placed outside.
Pinch, coil and slab techniques will be demonstrated. Paint the creation with under-glazes to add some pizzazz. Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
