Richardson to reign

Ricquel Taliah-Reginia Richardson, 9, of Waldorf was recently selected as a 2009 Miss Maryland Princess and will be officially crowned by Miss Maryland Louise Schlegel on June 21 at Valley Mall in Hagerstown.

She is the daughter of Ta' Loria C. Baxter and Richard Richardson Jr. of Waldorf.

Each princess selected will have a Miss Maryland contestant as a mentor for the year.

Ricquel will participate in all Miss Maryland scholarship organization events, serving as a special guest at the Miss Maryland preliminary competitions and the crowning of Miss Maryland 2009-2010.
