Pausts celebrate 40th

John and Gayle Paust of Leonardtown celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 16. They were married in 1968 at the Naval Air Station Oceana base chapel in Virginia Beach, Va., while assigned to Fighter Squadron 74. After 21 years in the Navy and serving in various East Coast naval commands, they moved to Leonardtown where he worked for 19 years at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and on various programs as a contractor for Wyle Laboratories Inc. He is now retired and the Pausts live in Breton Bay in Leonardtown.
They have three children, J. Michael Paust Jr. and wife, Sheree, of Mechanicsville, Christopher Paust and wife, Fala Khateeb, of Alexandria, Va., and Lisa Erdman and husband, Shaun, of Lutherville. They have five grandchildren, Mckenzie Rivard, Jace, Michael and Teagen Pause of Mechanicsville and Nathan Erdman of Lutherville.
