A group of participants gather during a Tea of the Heart luncheon hosted in celebration of Heart Awareness Month by the evangelism committee of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Charlotte Hall on Feb. 21. Red and white decorations, china, crystal and a variety of foods greeted guests from area churches as well as the community at large. Several ladies in attendance paraded their "high tea" hats as part of the entertainment. The event included a silent auction. The Rev. Mamie A. Williams, pastor of Fowler United Methodist Church in Annapolis and former district superintendent of the Annapolis region, was the guest speaker. Presentations were made to the Rev. Williams and to the Rev. Marguerite Morris for Morris' work with Leah's House, a women's shelter in the county. Visit www.mtcalvaryumc.com for more information.
