The Future Educators of America of Maurice J. McDonough High School held a book drive to benefit the Judy Centers. FEA collected 385 books for children who need books. The club also collected books for adults which were distributed at the Judy Center’s ‘‘Tool Time for Reading” literacy night for parents and children at Eva Turner Elementary School. Shown are Amy Rye, sponsor of the FEA,left; Loretta Williams, kindergarten instructional specialist at Dr. Samuel A. Mudd Elementary School; Eddie Lee-Brown, Head Start teacher; and Cheryl De Atley, coordinator of the county Judy Centers. The centers are an early childhood education and family support services program to help families get their young children prepared for school.
