Mudd House plans shindig

Charles County’s 350th birthday celebration continues from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 21 and 22 at the Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House in Waldorf.
The family house museum, gift shop, exhibit building and farm museums will be open for touring.
In addition, there will be activities for children, food, and Civil War re-enactors. The last tour begins at 3:30 p.m.
Kids can jump on a moon bounce or have their faces painted.
There will also be a large collection of Civil War dolls on exhibit by Leonardtown resident Lynn Buonviri. Her dolls have been exhibited at various functions including Chapmans Landing during its Christmas celebration.
