Charles County commissioners will hold a public hearing 2:30 p.m. June 29 on the proposed Developer's Rights and Responsibilities Agreement for the Woods at Deer Creek project, which proposes 368 apartment units in northern Waldorf. The hearing will be held at the county government building, 200 Baltimore St., La Plata.

Smarter Growth Alliance for Charles County will sponsor a public forum, "Investing in Waldorf: a Smarter Way to Grow," 7 p.m. June 30 at the Jaycees center, 3090 Crain Highway, Waldorf. Stewart Schwartz, executive director of the Coalition for Smarter Growth, will speak about the potential for Waldorf to be a model for redevelopment and Charles County's economic engine.
