Eric Vogt and his son, Justin, 8, of Hollywood, Md., work on a catapult for the Father's Day Fling at Annmarie Garden in Solomons on Saturday.

Below right, Paul Kachurak and his daughter, Maddi, 11, of Huntingtown build a catapult for the event. The event brings fathers and their children together to build a small catapult and then fling paint onto a canvas, creating pieces of artwork in the style of Jackson Pollock.
