A wounded man's arrival at a hospital early Monday morning led to a police investigation of gunshots fired outside a bar south of Lexington Park.

Jawon Nathaniel Berry, 21, eventually was flown from St. Mary's Hospital to the Washington Hospital Center, detectives report, to be treated for a groin injury suffered in Monday's 2 a.m. incident outside Butler's Place off Route 235.

Berry's acquaintances drove him to the hospital in Leonardtown. No arrests were reported in the investigation, and detectives asked that anyone with any information on the matter call them at 301-475-4200, ext. 9042, or Crime Solvers at 301-475-3333.
