Woman's body found in motel

Police request state autopsy in grisly discovery

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

The body of a woman was discovered in a Faulkner motel room on Tuesday morning, and sheriff's officers are investigating the death.

The woman was in her 30s and was found dead in the Town ‘n Country Motel at 9:58 a.m., according to Diane Richardson, Charles County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

Tuesday afternoon, police still had not confirmed her identity or contacted her family, Richardson said.

There are no apparent signs that foul play was involved in her death, but her body will be sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy, Richardson said.
