Calvert Hospice would like to thank Bennie Pace of Calvert Elks Lodge 2620 and Dan ‘‘Trash” Williams of the Southern Maryland Road Dogs Motorcycle Club for their hard work in organizing the sixth Annual Hospice Outback Bike Show, which raised more than $14,000 to benefit the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House.
We would also like to thank to Shirley Lynch, who once again came through by single-handedly raising more than $7,225 in donations to the bike show for the Hospice House.
Our gratitude to all those individuals and businesses that participated and showed their support.
We are grateful for the generous support of the Elks Lodge, the Road Dogs, and the community who together are helping make the dream of a Hospice House, a home-away-from-home for those living their final days, a reality for Calvert County residents.
Lynn Bonde, Prince Frederick
The writer is the executive director of Calvert Hospice.
