Mt. Calvary celebrates Pentecost

Tyrell Savoy, Demetrius Harris, Imani Curtis (behind the boys), Amiya Bell, Taylor Jones and Mia Jones wait for Denice Whalen-White to serve refreshments on June 7, when Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Charlotte Hall celebrated Pentecost Sunday with a birthday party to help the youth understand the significance. A mini-birthday party was held during the children's moment to explain how the arrival of the Holy Spirit to those gathered in the upper room was liken to a birthday party. The church used a variety of other symbols as well to explain the significance of the church season.
