Calvert Hospice would like to thank everyone who participated in the Third Annual Hospice Bike Ride⁄Poker Run which raised more than $3,100 to benefit the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House on June 14.
Chris Bowen, who spear-headed the day’s activities, deserves special recognition for his hard work and dedication in organizing this event and bringing out so many Hospice supporters.We would also like to thank Lisa Del Ricco of Vera’s White Sands Beach Club for hosting the post-run party.
Our thanks also to the individuals and businesses that donated to the bike ride⁄poker run.
A record number 97 riders participated in the event. Thanks to each of you.
With the support of Chris, Vera’s Beach Club and the entire community, we will make the dream of a Hospice House, a home-away-from-home for those living their final days, a reality for Calvert County residents.
