Due to air conditioning difficulties, Southern Middle School students were relocated to Patuxent High School on Thursday, according to e-mails from Southern Middle School Principal Sylvia Lawson and the Calvert County Board of Education.
The e-mail from the board of education stated that, because the Southern Middle School afternoon bus runs will take longer than usual, some of the afternoon busses transporting students at Barstow, Dowell, Patuxent, St. Leonard and Appeal elementary schools this afternoon will be running 15 to 20 minutes later than usual.
