In addition to their weekly gatherings, the Southern Maryland Wood Carvers club members have been cuttin’ up large pieces of wood for the carousel planned for Laurel Springs Park in La Plata. The 25 members will have several of their colorful steeds on exhibit Sept. 15-17 at the Charles County Fair.
