Campers Robby Hamilton, center, and Zachary Breaux, right, celebrate a catch from the Patuxent River as part of Greenwell fishing camp this year. This summer, the Greenwell Foundation held two fishing camps, where campers learned the basics of fishing, caught fish and left the camp with a brand new spinning rod and reel. Campers fished off Greenwell pier and fishing boats provided by members of the Southern Maryland Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportsfishermen's Association. The MSSA also provided a fishing camp director and financial support necessary to make the camps successful. The Tackle Box of Lexington Park provided discounts for bait and fishing tackle. Volunteers from the MSSA, Maryland Conservation Corps, Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland and the Naval Air Systems Command AIRSpeed Office lent a hand and also served as "fishing technicians."
