(Breaking news) Hollywood bicyclist killed in crash

A Hollywood man died Monday morning, police report, when a bicycle he was riding in the westbound lane of Clarkes Landing Road was struck from behind by a car.

Curtis Andrew Leymeister, 47, was thrown from his bicycle by the impact, and he died at the scene of the 7:58 a.m. crash despite efforts by emergency-medical service volunteers to save his life, according to Maryland State Police investigating the accident. The driver of the Honda Accord, 20-year-old Kathy May Lee, was not injured.
