Kathy Slagle of Mechanicsville dusts off a 1938 John Deere Model G tractor inside the Tractor Heaven barn at the Parlett Farm in New Market on Thursday in preparation for this weekend's 12th and final Southern Maryland Farm-Life Festival. All proceeds from the festival go toward Christmas in April. Slagle has volunteered at the festival for 10 years.
