Shirley Deloris Key Parker, 69, of Charlotte Hall died Oct. 28, 2009, at Civista Medical Center in La Plata.

Born Aug. 10, 1940, she was the daughter of Sarah R. Key and Joseph W. Cornish.

She attended White Marsh Elementary School in Mechanicsville. She graduated from Banneker High School in Loveville in 1958.

She retired with 31 years of service at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William L. Parker; and her daughter, Stacey W. Parker.

A home-going service will be held Nov. 3 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mechanicsville. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home in Aquasco.
