County sets closings

As part of the Charles County government's budget cuts made in response to falling tax revenues and cuts in state payments to the county, the administrative offices of the government and the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Hughesville will be closed Nov. 25, Dec. 24 and 31 and May 28.
The county landfill and composting facility and the Pisgah recycling center will be open on those days. Curbside weekly yard waste collection and bi-weekly recycling services might be affected. More information on specific recycling schedule changes will be issued. Emergency operations and essential services will not shut down.
