Helen Christine Lancaster Wood, 59, of Capitol Heights, formerly of La Plata, died Oct. 26, 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Wood; six children; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven sisters; and three brothers.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at Shining Star Freewill Baptist Church, Seat Pleasant. Burial will take place at Harmony Memorial Cemetery, Largo.

Arrangements are being handled by Capitol Mortuary.
