James Calvin Savoy, 32, Indian Head

James Calvin Savoy, 32, of Indian Head died Oct. 19, 2009.

Better known as "Calvin" or "C-Low" he was born Dec. 25, 1976, in Baltimore, son of the late John Henry Savoy and the late Mary Lucille Hawkins-Savoy.

He attended Thomas Stone High School. He loved to dance, freestyle and sing old songs. He also liked to tell jokes and make people laugh. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by many people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Mary Edna Hawkins; and aunt, Edna Mae Hawkins.

He is survived by his sisters, Ernestine and Mary "Chrissy' Savoy and Thelma Savoy-Dorsey; brothers, John "Johnny", Francis and Tony Savoy and James Thompson; sister-in-law, Sandra Savoy; brother-in-law, Charles "Leon" Dorsey; nieces, LaKesha, Shanelle and Nijah Savoy, Shadona Brawner and Kristiana Dorsey; great-niece, Shanita Savoy; nephews, Antoine, Tyrone, Marquis, Jordan, Trevon and Justin Savoy, Ronald Brawner Jr. and Charles Dorsey Jr.; goddaughter, Seiko Strong; special friends, Alonzo Owens, William Strong and James Posey; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at Adams Funeral Home, Aquasco. Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
