Suitland man arrested after car chase
A stolen car was recovered Nov. 2 after a police chase through Waldorf. At 9:22 p.m., officers tried to stop the car near the intersection of Post Office Road and Route 5 in Waldorf after seeing a traffic violation, but the driver wouldn't stop. Officers chased the car and disabled it by performing a precision immobilization technique maneuver. The driver tried to run away, but was apprehended, police reported. A computer check showed the car had been reported stolen in August.
The driver, Ricardo Delonte Broughton, 35, of Suitland, was charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft and numerous traffic violations.
