Tuesday, Nov. 10

Charles County Board of Zoning and Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 in the county commissioners' meeting room in the county government building, 200 Baltimore St., La Plata. Items on the agenda include a public hearing on a special exception request by AT&T to erect a telecommunications tower higher than 50 feet on Tranquility Place in Indian Head and a public hearing on a special exception request to surface mine less than 10 acres to create an agricultural irrigation pond on property on Trinity Church Road, Charlotte Hall. Charles County government and Tri-County Animal Shelter will be closed Nov. 11 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Curbside recycling service, yard waste collection and the operation of the county landfill, recycling centers, and composting facility will not be affected.
