Edward Cleveland Rose, 72, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Suitland, died Nov. 2, 2009, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Rose was in the vending industry as a route salesman. He was a member of Grace Chapel Ministries. He enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins, Wednesday night dinners with his grandchildren, his dogs Prancer and Max, and RAW professional wrestling.
Born Jan. 9, 1937, in Washington, he was the son of the late Clarence Marvin and the late Helen Mae Kemp Rose.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Rose; children, Jim E. Rose and his wife, Dawn; daughter, Aileen M. Rose; sisters, Sandra Hasty and Anne Rose; and grandchildren, Brittany and Madelyn Rose.
A life celebration will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Nov. 6 and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Nov. 7 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall. The Rev. C.H. Snyder will officiate. Burial will take place at Washington National Cemetery.
