John Thomas Abell, 21, Mechanicsville

John Thomas Abell, 21, of Mechanicsville was listed as missing in action on June 10, 1945, in Germany.

Born Sept. 2, 1923, in Leonardtown, he was the son of the late Violet Abell Bussler and Thomas H. Abell.

He is survived by his sisters, Annie E. McCully of Leonardtown, Mary L. Tennyson of Clements, Katie D. Kozak of West Grove, Pa., and Claudia L. Mattingly of Compton; and a brother, C. Roger Bussler of Leonardtown.

Other siblings, now deceased, include Frank T. Abell, Francis A. Abell and G. Hoover Bussler.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown.
