As everyone knows volunteerism, is a great commodity, and we at United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Maryland Inc. would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers who participated in United Way of St. Mary’s Day of Caring on Oct. 13.
A big thanks to United Way and the great people who put together this wonderful event. The kickoff gathering early in the morning brought together the companies that provided these dedicated community helpers and the generous companies that donated goods and money to make it all possible. Also a heartfelt thanks goes to Mike Mead and Mike Quinn of CACI Inc. and their volunteers from CACI and Target who came out and did such valuable work for United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Maryland by cleaning the agency vans.
Also, special thanks goes to Scott Stahr from United Way for all the hard work he did buying and delivering landscaping supplies to our group home located off Darcy Lane. All of the volunteers representing Lexis Nexis, RED Inc., UCP and TCYSB were amazing with all they accomplished in making the landscaping at our group home truly shine. Their efforts were so important and successful in providing assistance to our clients by improving their home.
We would also like to say thanks again this year to Damon’s restaurant and the Dominos Pizza located in Lexington Park for their generous donations of great food for our volunteer lunches. These hard-working volunteers went right to work and took care of the projects at hand. We couldn’t have done it without them.
We are very grateful for these services and are deeply appreciative for each and every volunteer.
Helen Newell, Lexington Park
