Cardwells celebrate 40 years

Thomas L. and Charlene E. Cardwell of Brandywine celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Nov. 1.

They were married on Nov. 1, 1969, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Baden followed by a reception at the Martha Washington Restaurant in Waldorf.

Mr. Cardwell is the son of the late Virgil L. and the late Hilda S. Cardwell of Windfall, Ind. Mrs. Cardwell is the daughter of the late Hazel Loveless and the late Lewis M. Early Sr. of Brandywine.

The Cardwells have a son, Andrew Thomas Cardwell; daughter, Cristen Lee Cardwell; grandson, Zachary Andrew Cardwell; granddaughter, Trinity L. Callender; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Davis Cardwell.

Another grandchild is due in February.

The couple celebrated their anniversary on Nov. 1 with family and friends at the historic Gadsby's Tavern Restaurant in Alexandria, Va..
