Mark Allyn Cizler and Dawn Marie Rayle announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Julie Rayle and the late James Rayle Sr. of Cobb Island.

The groom-to-be is the son of Michael and Karen Cizler of Waldorf.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Westlake High School.

She is an instructional assistant teacher at Piccowaxen Middle School.

The groom-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Thomas Stone High School, who recently celebrated a homecoming from his second tour in Iraq.

He is currently working at Fort Belvoir.

The couple is planning to wed Dec. 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown with a holiday-themed reception to follow at the American Legion in Hughesville.

The couple will honeymoon in Hawaii.

They plan to reside in St. Mary's County.
