St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Indian Head held its centennial anniversary Sept. 13. To celebrate, Archbishop of Washington Donald W. Wuerl, right, said Mass. He was taken by horse-drawn carriage, driven by Derrick Pickney, to the church. The Rev. William Watters, left, represented the church's founding father, the Rev. William Tynan, and current pastor, the Rev. Robert Golas.
