James Patrick "Pat" Berkeley, 60, of North Point, Fla., died Oct. 31, 2009, in North Point.

He was a retired carpet layer.

Born Nov. 26, 1948, in Washington, D.C., he grew up in Morningside. He was the son of the late Raymond E. Berkeley Sr. and the late Pauline Anna Mae Berkeley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Ron Toole Jr.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Berkeley and his wife, Frances; his sister, Rene Toole and her husband, Ron; his children, Lisa, Jimmy, Mike and Kelley; his nieces and nephews, Trish Ryon and her husband, Dan, Joseph Berkeley, Allen Berkeley and his wife, Priscilla, Kim Toole and his wife, Emma, Theresa Toole and John "J.T." Toole; and best friend, Harold Edwards.

The family received friends and a funeral service was held Nov. 19 at Rausch Funeral Home in Owings. Interment was private.
