Baseball and softball
The Potomac Warriors 13-U baseball travel team will be holding tryouts Dec. 5 and 12 in La Plata and King George, Va. Participants must be 13 and younger as of April 30, 2010.

The Southern Maryland Sting 12-U travel baseball team has professional hitting instructor Billy Johnson available for lessons to all baseball and softball players of all ages.

Cheerleading
The Charles County Lions, Charles County's semi-pro football team, is holding auditions for the Charles County Lady Lions cheer/dance team from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 22 at Elite Gymnastics in Waldorf.
Registration begins at 6 p.m. The fee is $20 and participants must be at least 18 years old and not in high school.

Futsal
A winter futsal league is forming for teams and individuals in U-10 through U-19 age groups at Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf.

Gymnastics
Charles County Parks and Recreation presents the 1Nation All Stars Cheerleading Program at Elite Gymnastics and Recreation Center, at 2745 Old Washington Road in Waldorf.
Registration takes place at the center during normal business hours.
Each cheerleader will be placed on a team based on their age and skill level. The program is open to children 18 and younger.
