James Patrick "Pat" Berkeley, 60, of North Point, Fla., died Oct. 31, 2009, in North Point.

He was a retired carpet layer. Born Nov. 26, 1948, in Washington, D.C., he grew up in Morningside. He was the son of the late Raymond E. Berkeley Sr. and the late Pauline Anna Mae Berkeley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Ron Toole Jr.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Berkeley and his wife, Frances; sister, Rene Toole and her husband, Ron; children, Lisa, Jimmy, Mike and Kelley; nieces and nephews, Trish Ryon and her husband, Dan, Joseph Berkeley, Allen Berkeley and his wife, Priscilla, Kim Toole and his wife, Emma, Theresa Toole and John "J.T." Toole; and best friend, Harold Edwards.

Visitation and a service were held Nov. 19 at Rausch Funeral Home, Owings. Burial was private.
