Christmas came early at the home of Susan Winborne.
Members of Sisters at Heart breast cancer survivors group gathered in Pomfret for its annual Christmas party. Winborne's mother, Shirley Blocker and her sister, Pam Nelson were also on hand to join the fun.
Instead of exchanging gifts for themselves, members brought gifts for the Children's Aid Society of Charles County to be distributed to needy children in the area at the La Plata Armory for Christmas Connection.
An assortment of toys was donated including a Lava Lamp, play tent, tackle box, telescope, radio controlled pickup truck, fishing rods, watches and a variety of balls.
