Charles County government offices and the Tri-County Animal Shelter will be closed Dec. 25. The landfill, recycling centers and composting facility will be closed Dec. 25. The curbside recycling collection and weekly yard waste collection service schedule will be adjusted as follows: Friday "B" will have curbside collection service Dec. 26 and Friday "A" will have curbside collection Jan. 2.

La Plata Town Hall will be closed Dec. 25. Call 301-934-8421.

Charles County Public Library will close Dec. 25-27. The library will re-open Dec. 28. On Dec. 31, the library will close at 5 p.m. and remain closed Jan. 1.

Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration express and full service offices and emissions inspection locations will be closed Dec. 25 and 26. MVA offices and emissions locations will open Dec. 28.

Indian Head Town Hall will be closed Dec. 25. Call 301-743-5511.

Monday, Dec. 28

Indian Head Town Council work session will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 28 at town hall, 4195 Indian Head Highway. Call 301-743-5511.

Thursday, Dec. 31

The Charles County commissioners will not meet next week. They will be representing the county at other meetings and will conduct individual appointments as scheduled.
